Girls Try Skill Centre

Registration for the 2025-2026 Winter Season is NOW OPEN!

Rationale

At Halifax Dunbrack Soccer Club, we currently have more than twice as many boys as girls participating in our Skill Centre program. This program forms the foundation of our youth development pathway, feeding into both our community and performance teams at U12 and above. To ensure we can field competitive female teams at every age group in the future, we are committed to rebuilding and growing our girls’ program.

The Fall Program

This fall, Halifax Dunbrack will offer a free 4-week program for both new and returning female players interested in joining our Skill Centre (U7-U11). We encourage existing female HDSC players to bring female friends who may be interested in trying soccer and the sisters of existing male players to come and try the game.

Sessions will be led by experienced Halifax Dunbrack female coaches, including Natalie Brothers and Leah Kutcher. Both are not only active coaches within the club, but have also proudly represented Nova Scotia at the university level and the Canada Games. They bring a wealth of knowledge, passion, and leadership, serving as strong role models for the next generation of female players.
